Greg Mazza, VP of Sales at Savoy House, Joins the WizCommerce Podcast for Season 1
Veteran sales leader shares how a family-owned lighting brand built one of wholesale’s most
effective rep engines
July 16, 2026 — Greg Mazza, VP of Sales at Savoy House, has been announced as a
featured guest on the inaugural season of The WizCommerce Podcast, the industry’s first podcast
dedicated to the wholesale leaders who rewrote the playbook, and won.
What makes Mazza’s episode stand out is that it’s a masterclass in wholesale sales from someone
who’s built his career around a single philosophy: sell to help. Savoy House is one of the top five
largest lighting manufacturers in the country — and one of the last major players still fully
family-owned. Mazza breaks down how the company competes at that scale
without a boardroom, a PE playbook, or a transactional mindset.
The conversation covers the full sales engine — from how Mazza walks into a showroom and diagnoses
a territory, to how he keeps independent reps engaged across 15 competing lines. He shares the
analytics framework Savoy uses to track rep performance at the category level, why most companies
hire reps without nearly enough due diligence, and how to tell when a territory problem isn’t
actually a rep problem.
Mazza also goes deep on how he led through two of the industry’s most turbulent moments during his
time with a previous lighting manufacturer. During Covid, while competitors added delivery fees and
pulled back, he launched free dropshipping and aggressive discount programs to keep showrooms
buying. Later, during the tariff volatility of 2025, he chose to hold pricing—absorbing the impact
rather than passing costs on to customers. Looking back, Mazza says both decisions were rooted in
the same philosophy that guides him today: putting customers first and proving that true
partnership means standing by them when it matters most.
“I didn’t want to be part of the problem. I wanted to be part of the solution,” said Mazza. “We
knew they didn’t have cash at that time. But we knew based on the longevity of the account and the
two-way partnership that we would invest now to gain later.”
“This episode is a blueprint for anyone managing reps, building a sales team, or trying to figure
out what actually differentiates a wholesale brand when everyone’s selling the same product.” said
Div Makkar, Co-Founder & CEO of WizCommerce.
The WizCommerce Podcast features conversations with a single guest per episode: owners, CEOs, and
sales leaders who have navigated real inflection points. Season 1 spans furniture, lighting, rugs,
textiles, and home decor, with full episodes on YouTube. Mazza’s is one of seven episodes running
June through September 2026.
