A Message From the President
Dear Fellow ART Members:
On November 1, 2009, I took over the presidency of our wonderful organization. It is with great anticipation and hope that I have entered into this position.
Just like all of the presidents that have preceded me, I want to see us be a strong organization with sustained growth. As we all are aware we have been in one of the most painful economic periods for our individual businesses and ART. Through this time we have had to look inward and concentrate on what we should do to make us a sound and respected organization that continues to grow. Yes, we have lost many companies to this economic disease, but we must concentrate, as we have as we have at home, on the survivors among us and ALL work together to makes ART stronger. In my eight years of membership I have always marveled at what strong, hard working and giving members this organization has. This is the backbone that has made us the survivor that we are today. ART is the one organization that represents all of us that design, import, showcase and sell home accessories.
As strong as we have been, we must obtain and retain members to not only survive, but be more effective in the world of home accessories. To this end I will work towards the following goals:
- A strong growth in the membership of ART.
- Making ART better known for its positive impact on OUR industry.
- Having a sound financial foundation from achieving goals 1 and 2.
I ask for your support and to remember ART when planning you budgets, both financially and time allotments. We can and will be a sound, strong and ever advancing organization when we ALL work for these goals.
